Costs of health care are enormous and increasing much faster than inflation. Most employers want to help their employees afford medical insurance to cover these costs. Employers with as few as two employees (including the owner!) can purchase group insurance from nearly any insurance company or plan in California. We help employers decide which plan or plans may be best for their employees. California has a variety of group programs for small and medium size employers (up to 500 employees) at affordable costs and our job is to design a plan that meets the needs of our client employers. We help the employer determine whether to pay all or part of the cost of the premiums, then help employees understand how to best utilize their new plan.

We work with all the major group medical carriers including: Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, California Choice, Cigna, Community Health, Health Net, Humana, Kaiser, PacAdvantage, PacifiCare, Principal, Sharp Heath, and Universal Care. Each carrier has several different plan designs including HMOs, PPOs and Point of Service plans. In addition, some mid-size employers may benefit by implementing a partially self-insured plan. These plans can help an employer (generally with over 100 employees) offer a custom-designed plan for the same or less total cost than an HMO.
